Corporate Wellness Solutions
Our national healthcare costs over $1.8 trillion, 4 times the amount
spent on national defense.
Without increased education of preventative healthcare strategies
targeted to a population with increased health risk factors, the costs to
employers will continue to rise in both dollars and decreased
productivity.
According to PR Newswire (June, 2005),"Health initiatives lead to a more empowered, healthier workforce
and allow companies to maximize healthcare investments," said Hank McKinnell, Chairman and CEO of
Pfizer Inc. "It is not only important but beneficial to companies to provide their employees and their
families with information to become more knowledgable about their health care needs and with the tools
to better manage health conditions and risk factors."
Steps we take to Implement Your Program:
Any wellness initiative must demonstrate a return on investment by:
1. Identifyiing health risk factors linked to increased costs
2. Correlating risk factors to increase in absenteeism, disability, health claims,
disease, and decrease in productivity
3. Planning and implementing wellness initiatives to at-risk employees
4. Corelating decrease in employee risk factors and health claims
Health Assessment Opportunities
Health Fair Expo
The purpose of holding a Heath Fair Expo is to educate and encourage sound employees' wellness habits.
To understand how employees' current health habits influence their current and future health, employees
complete a Personal Wellness ProfileTM, and have their blood cholesterol, glucose levels, pulse rate,
blood pressure, waist and hip circumference, and body fat index measured. The biometric evaluation is
optional.
After this information is captured and a report is discussed with the organization to formulate strategies,
our wellness doctor can meet with selected interested employees to discuss how their positive/negative
life-style habits are influencing their health and what nutritional, fitness, and cognitive life-style habits
should be added or changed.
The Personal Wellness ProfileTM
is the foundation for the most effective wellness programs. This questionnaire and software assesses
health risks and helps to motivate participants to make improvements in their health and lifestyle. From
this information, we then project the potential savings that can be achieved if risk-reduction efforts are
put in place.
